This marinade was amazing. I actually wasn't sure virtually the ingredients (didn't want teriyaki type), and decided to have a chance based upon the ratings. Boy, was I glad I did. The steaks ended up marinating 3 days (due to changes in plans). They were and so tender, and the gustation... fabulous. This marinade is very subtle, it really enhances the meat well. I didn't have parsley, and then I added a dash of thyme. My DH was extremely happy with the taste, and wants me to use this recipe once more and over again. ***UPDATE***-I wanted something unlike for Christmas dinner for 15 people, this was my pick, and everyone raved most how flavorful and tender the steaks were (we used apartment atomic number 26 steaks). I brought the steaks home from the shop, stock-still the marinade, popped them in the freezer for about a week, then defrosted them Christmas Eve. My DH put them on the BBQ to cook, YUMMM! On a decorated day, information technology was an effortless, merely outstanding principal dish.

Steak purist as he is, hubs preferred his steak without this marinade and didn't use it. In hindsight I wish I would have followed adjust. Thank goodness fifty at least used fresh garlic, merely I think both the lemon juice and hefty amount of garlic powder contributed a stiff, "off flavor," equally one reviewer put information technology, that I just didn't care for - not so sure I liked the basil either. It was fun to experiment, but information technology would accept been then much easier then much amend to accept just stuck with the simple steak seasonings nosotros're accustomed to. When something is really good, like a expert quality steak, it simply doesn't need anything to brand it amend.

I don't know if this is "THE All-time" steak marinade, but information technology comes in close. I used this on two pretty large NY stips and it came out keen! I cut the olive oil down to 1/4 c. and used all minced garlic, no powders. I used 2 Tbsp. of dried basil and 1 Tbsp. of oregano. I didn't take white pepper, so I used 1/2 tsp. of blackness pepper. I put everything into a ziplock bag and let it marinate all day. Perfect with a baked potato and salad!
10/28/2007
Very good marinade. I only had garlic salt, and it was a mistake to use it. The garlic salt fabricated the marinade too salty, definitely make sure you use garlic powder equally the resipe calls for! Otherwise the flavor was pretty great!

This recipe is Awesome. My husband LOVED it. I didn't have any Lemon Juice so I used Lime and it came out Corking.

This is adept, but I have been doing the "exact ingredients for over 20 years. Y'all "do not" need to alloy ingredients in a blender at all. In fact, if, later tasting "mixture", it seems "to potent for your gustatory modality buds", just an a little water to it.". I also ever add "a niggling oil or canola oil" to the mixture(it depends how much you brand, but "at least a tablespoon". Information technology tenderizes the steak/pork/or venison" meat, and gives the flames on the grill a gamble to "dance upwardly", giving those overnice "charred lines> I also apply both powered garlic and existent garlic. I subsitute lemon juice with "rice flavored vinegar or wine vinegar. Be certain "not to over due the acidic ingredients(lemon or vinegars)If you lot have "fresh basil leave handy, instead of dry..even improve. I always "freeze "fresh basil leaves" in a ziploc baggie, to have handy in the firm. Only crush the leaves once from, grab a handful to add to your "marinades or pasta sauces. Makes a "huge divergence in flavor. Sometimes, instead of "soy", I'll use Terriyaki sauce instead, or sometimes "a little of each". Especially with "pork tenderloins. Fifty-fifty throw in chopped green onions. Once yous are "comfortable making your own marinades, "the "skys the limit". You also , if a tender cutting of meat(similar pork or beef or venison tenderloin", exercise not have to marinate "more than a half hour". Marinades will stay in a drinking glass jar upwards to a calendar week, if you do not have fourth dimension to do it "daily". I ship upwards a batch with my hubby went he goes hunting

Excellent Marinade. I actually didn't add the last 4 ingredients. I didn't have parsley flakes & only forgot the pepper. I marinated four large Ribeyes for nearly 4-v hours and the steaks were delicious, best I've always cooked. My husband took one of the steaks to work 2 days afterwards and microwaved information technology for lunch. He was concerned that it might be dry or tough and said information technology tasted fifty-fifty ameliorate. Groovy recipe. Thanks for sharing.

The problem with marinades that are intensely acidic is that they make the surface of the meat mushy, grey, and resistant to browning. I take made a version of this marinade with but a tablespoon of lemon juice and the zest of one lemon for flavor, and the texture was markedly improve. I also used fresh herbs, equally dried herbs have an off flavor. I would non advise anybody utilize a third of a cup of lemon juice, equally the acid does not actually tenderize the meat past the get-go few millimeters of the surface, which becomes waterlogged and cleaved down past the acid.
01/07/2010
This marinade was actually flavorful. I marinated the steaks overnight and the meat was juicy & tender. Peachy recipe!
04/06/2008
Used fresh garlic instead of pulverisation. Great flavor!
12/06/2010
This marinade was simply wonderful. We have been cutting back on expesnses in our domicile, which includes non eating out. I have been doing by best to deliver resturant quality dishes and then that no one gets board. This did non neglect! My fiance just raved over it. The only thing I changed was that a few mintues before the meat was done cooking, I sprinkled a niggling bit of turbanado sugar on the meat to rest the table salt. It was to die for! Past the way, although you dont accept have to blend the ingredents together with a processor, I hightly recommend information technology. This really allows the flavors to mix, the herbs to be ground (which increased the flavor of any herb) and the oil to be infused with the flavors of this marinade. Dont hesitated to attempt this one!
04/04/2008
I permit this marinate for 24 hours. Succulent!
01/07/2011
This actually is one of the best meat marinades I've come across in over 30 of cooking. I have used it on steaks, roasts, pork and chicken with wonderful results every time. I have never blended it, rather just whisk the ingredients together in a glass bowl. The re-create I fabricated of this recipe is actually worn out from so much use! A friend is a NC BBQ pit primary and he uses it frequently. No better endorsement than a pro!

I never really eat steak, simply that's what my mom wanted for mother'southward mean solar day. I don't really have anything to compare information technology to because I've never marinated steak before! It was very easy to put together...I skipped the blender part and just mixed it in a bowl, put the steaks in ziploc bags and poured the marinade in. Mom said "this marinade is delicious!" and so it looks similar I did good. One time the steaks were on the grill I poured the excess into a pan with some mushrooms, butter, and a little cornstarch and served that on top the steaks. That was the best part. Don't throw out that actress marinade!!
07/06/2009
I'one thousand afraid I was just a fleck disappointed by this marinade. Nevertheless, at four stars, information technology was pretty expert. I definitely agree that the ingredients should be mixed in a blender and then they are compatible. This likewise makes the marinade very thick so information technology sticks to the meat extremely well - simply this is part of the problem. Because of its thickness, fifty-fifty after grilling there is so still much marinade coating the meat that it is overpowering - the flavor of the meat gets lost in the marinade. And so, the solution is uncomplicated - make sure you wipe well-nigh of the marinade off before you cook the meat! With this i addition to the directions, it might have gotten five stars from me.

I added beer to embrace the steaks and marinaded 12 hours in Nutrient Saver closed vacuum sealer marinade basin. Juiciest, most succulent Porterhouse steak I have always tasted.
03/17/2008
This tasted great! I was out of basil, then I substituted rosemary, but it still came out tasting wonderful!
01/14/2011
I used this marinade for two big juicy ribeye steaks. Neither me nor my fiance cared for it that much. With all the soy sace, lemon juice and worchestershire it made the meat very sour and almost made it gustatory modality rancid. I was a lilliputian disappointed in how many ingredients I wasted to brand information technology. I call back perchance if the measurements were right, with a little tweaking, this could exist a good recipe. Mayhap using fresh herbs instead of dried would be better every bit well. Overall, information technology needs some work.
12/thirteen/2012
I simply put the ingredients in a ziploc bag, add the meat and squeeze out the air. Blending isn't necessary. I often do several steaks at a time and popular the numberless in the freezer so the meat is gear up for the grill on short notice. This is very flavorful and especially good on kabobs and London Broil. I've used this recipe for a few years and it's become the "house marinade" because information technology's never failed to tenderize a slice of beef or generate a compliment. Information technology tin can be tweaked for diversity's sake and doesn't crave exact measurements. A tip of the hat to you Kookie!
10/14/2010
When I made this the first fourth dimension, I definitely had my doubts. Information technology looked like infant diarrhea, only I saw how many ratings at that place were and I decided to go ahead anyway!! WOW!!! I was very surprised. My girlfriend thinks I'g a Genius!! (Sorry... I'm not telling her I found it online!!) Way to go!! Keep calculation more recipes. You make my cooking look really skillful! Thanks Kookie!
06/05/2010
This is the last time I'm going to ruin a perfectly good steak with a marinade. I used this on New York Strip steaks this evening and was thoroughly disappointed. In my opinion, a good steak only needs a fiddling fleck of salt and some pepper, and so I'm promising my husband and myself that I'll never use a marinade on good meat again!
01/03/2012
And so I made a steak for the offset time ever today (I'thou only 22, requite me a pause). I used Allrecipes to observe a practiced steak recipe since I had no idea what to do, except that I was going to pan-fry it. This marinade came upwardly on top of the ratings list. I used the hot sauce and extra garlic, and the only thing I changed was I used minced garlic instead of the garlic pulverization (didn't take powder), and used italian seasoning instead of the basil (once more didn't have basil). This turned out amazing! I can simply imagine how much amend information technology would've been if I was more experienced cooking steak! Definitely recommending this one to friends and family. Thanks for posting it!
03/06/2011
Not fifty-fifty close. This is non merely Not the best marinade in existence, just actually substandard. The use of both of the garlics gives information technology a heavy aftertaste. The basil is, well not really certain why it'due south there. And the lemon juice adds an odd tangy note totally unlike anything else in the marinade. Perhaps substituting a vino instead of lemon juice for the acidity requirement might bind the whole affair together. This did not work at all for me. Sorry to say.

THIS HAS TO Be THE All-time MARINADE IN THE WORLD! Marinaded for 6 hours- Turn the Grill on HIGH and with the hat down get the inside temp to 400, (await untill its upwards there), sear the meat on all sides opening and the lid to to check and flip. When seared or blackened to desired chaff, turn the grill on LOW to cool it, untill the temperature gets down to well-nigh 275 or 300. When the grill cools down you can close the chapeau and cook the meat turning occasionally until the inside temperature of the meat is to the desired temperature. (150 is skillful) Take the meat out on plate cover with a dish material for about 10 min to allow the meat residual. Zip else needed. This is the marinade I chose to use for the tenderloins at the company picnic. At that place were 3 tenderlions about iii lbs each, nine lbs total. I doubled the recipe for the marinade. I used both the minced garlic and the powdered garlic. Don't use 'Salt Garlic'. And for the 'Lemon Juice' I used 'Real Lemon' in the bottle. I used 'Black Pepper', not the white considering I similar how information technology crusts. And for the hot sauce I used 'Blood-red Pepper' pulverisation. The hot pepper boost serves to balances the spices it does not make the meat hot at all.. I used 'Extra Virgin Olive Oil' because information technology has more flavor. I wanted to stretch the recipe and then I added about one/iii loving cup more than oil. I divide marinade up into iii plastic zippos, threw a tenderloin in each i. Marinaded it in the frig, turning the pocketbook over a few times over a 6 hour period.
01/24/2011
very good i let this marinade for 1-2days
12/13/2012
I have used this same recipe for over 15 years with ane change. My recipe calls for a ane/four cup of mustard. I prefer a grainy dijon simply any will work and each will subtly modify the marinade's season. I have even used horseradish and what a kick that gives. I also volition marinade tougher cuts for 12 to 14 hours and the lemon juice makes them very tender. It also works very well as an injection sauce just must be very well blended. JC3
04/19/2011
If you lot're using this do Non let information technology marinade for more than than a few hours. I let it marinade over night and it was horribly potent. No one in my house could choke it downwards. I'm not brave plenty to endeavor once more with less marinade fourth dimension.
02/07/2011
This was great. I used iii fresh garlic cloves, sirracha sauce and added a picayune dijon mustard equally another reviewr did. I mixed this in my food processor and information technology gave the marinade a great texture....1 that I dont retrieve I could take acheived past only srtiring with a spoon. I marinated two ribeyes for 22 hours. The steaks came out so juicy. I had reserved some of the marinade and heated information technology up to drizzle on as I served the steak. It was wonderful. This ones a keeper for us!!
11/27/2008
I'm sad, only I really didn't like this marinade, establish information technology likewise overpowering. The taste of the meat was not in that location anymore, all I could taste was the marinade and I marinaded it for less than an hour. My hubby took a bite of the meat and merely left the balance on the plate.
01/13/2011
Both my brothers, my father and my picky husband all agreed that this was indeed the best steak marinade in existence!
01/02/2012
VERY VERY VERY GOOD! I followed the recipe exactly. I tried the marinade before marinating my ii filet mignon steaks and I wasn't impressed at all. Information technology tasted like seasoned worcestershire sauce to me. Anyway I allow my two steaks marinate for four hours, cooked it on each side for iii minutes, added the remaining sauce to mushrooms similar another commenter suggested, sauteed and served on top. Delicious!!!! The marinade combined with the steak WAS DIVINE!!!! My bf and I couldn't become plenty!!! Believe me, Practise NOT become discouraged if you try the marinade past itself, y'all will Non regret making this. AMAZING!!!! Groovy Job Kookie!!
01/16/2011
Omit the lemon juice and you take a really skillful marinade. The acidity of a lemon actually takes away from the flavour of a nice cutting of meat.
09/23/2012
Made this tonight for some inexpensive pinnacle round steaks. Wow! The whole family loved the flavour. And so delicious. Great recipe! Cheers
01/31/2011
I had to try this recipe because of all the rave reviews and I thought for sure I had a winner but was very displeased with the end product. The steaks (Ball Tips) came out super tender but the flavor was all incorrect for my family and I. The flavour was too over powering! They were uneatable. This is the tertiary bomb in every bit many weeks. My sweet husband, who is a awesome melt, is getting sick of me "experimenting" on my family unit peculiarly when they stop up leaving the dinner table still hungry on 'my dinner nights'. If I keep this stride up I just might stop up getting fired from my dinner nights.
01/04/2012
I decided to effort this after seeing some proficient reviews. It makes quite a chip of marinade, merely I did two large flank steaks with it in two separate bags. I followed the directions, except I cut the basil in half as I ran out. I used depression-sodium soy sauce, and would definitely suggest that. It is quite salty, from the soy sauce, even using that substitution. I likewise did add the optional ingredients. At first seize with teeth I thought it had a potent taste of the basil, but the more than I ate it, the more I liked it. The only downside, is it actually over-tenderized. I never thought that was possible. I broiled my flank steak, equally usual, and it was so tender I nigh had trouble cut information technology. I would definitely use this for a tough, less flavorful, cut of meat as the marinade does have very strong flavour. It would mask a skillful steak, in my stance. For some reason, I could see men liking this though.
02/16/2012
Did not change a matter...it IS the best steak marinade. Thank you. :-)
12/xv/2010
Nosotros dear this i! Information technology'due south a nice change from the bottled marinades and so yummy! The only thing we do unlike is add lots more fresh garlic in the blender...
04/02/2010
Splendid marinade. Basically a salt & pepper & olive oil man at time of grilling, but on tougher cuts, properly scored or with utilize of tenderizer tool, and on a roast, information technology is absolutely delicious for taste and moisture retention when left to rest. Very good. I prefer a little chipolte seasoning to the pepper sauce, and the fresh garlic. a very good five star + marinade, give thanks you, I usually prefer my dwelling made rubs, simply this was very very good.
07/19/2010
I followed the recipe to a alphabetic character and found the taste was just to my liking.
12/22/2010
my husband and I have tried a lot of marinades and this is by far the best!. we use it everytime we grill steaks. def. better than whatsoever store bought marinade!
03/09/2012
This is a really smashing marinade. It has wonderful flavor, tenderizes the meat, and goes well with nearly cuisines. My just complaint is that it'southward a simply salty- so I don't apply as much soy sauce.
07/31/2013
I've read a lot of reviews were people substituted this or that, well for me, I always try a recipe every bit written outset, before I determine to substitute, add, delete, etc. In that location is nothing I would alter almost this recipe!! I tried this for the first time on a day I was having my family, and an erstwhile Navy buddy who was passing through boondocks, over for grilled steaks and boiled shrimp. I wanted to exercise something dissimilar with the steaks, and I found this recipe and tried it. I doubled the recipe because I had 8 steaks, and put them on to marinate about 10:00pm to go on the grill at 4:00pm the side by side solar day. There was not a single bite of steak left on ANYONE's plate, and all were raving almost how flavorful and tender the steaks were. (I utilise a gas grill) My Navy friend took a photograph of the recipe on his way out then he could accept it when he got home. He sent me pictures of the infant back ribs and craven he was grilling after marinating them in this stuff, and said they both came out fantastic! So thank you Kookie for sharing this! Information technology's astounding just the mode information technology is, and I really can't picture show myself seasoning a steak whatsoever other way anymore. Heck, I may fifty-fifty marinate some rib eyes just to see how neat it will make them taste!
06/xv/2010
This marinade is okay. After cooking the only flavors that stand out are the soy sauce and lemon juice. I have had much meliorate, and will most likely not apply this one again.
12/14/2012
I brand this all the time, always makes the steaks then tender. Guest e'er rave when I bbq steaks after they take been in this merinade over night. Love it!
08/11/2011
1/ii the soya sauce, cutting down on lemon juice and add at least as much balsamic vinegar.
07/xxx/2012
Tried recipe at home with flank steak. Used all ingredients except parsley flakes because I couldn't find in my pantry (information technology'll probably turn up now that I don't need information technology!). Marinated overnight in fridge. Let meat come up to room temp before tossing on a screaming hot BBQ grill. 4 minutes each side gave me perfectly medium rare steaks. I'm going to try lime instead of lemon (or both) next time. It was a big hit with everybody. Thanks for sharing this!
09/08/2011
Elementary and good. I used this to marinade a london bake for 24 hours before grilling. The season is not super-potent but it's expert and tenderizes the meat. I poured the ingredients into a large Ziploc and simply kneaded them around, instead of blending.
07/28/2010
Bully marinade! No need for the bottle of sauce! I marinated some steaks all solar day for the quaternary of July weekend, grilled them up and anybody loved information technology, they were and so tender! I made it equally directed (yes, blending it up) and have made this a few times since, it'southward that good!
06/17/2008
This is just perfect. I apply it all the fourth dimension for steak in stir-fry recipes, and final night I used it for grilling a large slab of beef. My husband was literally moaning at how delicious it was. I practise substitute 2 cloves fresh garlic, pressed, for the garlic powder.
01/13/2011
I was looking for a great steak marinade and decided to endeavour this 1 - mistake! Mode too much basil - my kids wouldn't consume it. I recall some aspects of this marinade are skilful. I'll try it again, using much less or maybe totally omitting the basil.
12/12/2010
This marinade gave usa the moistest New York Strip steaks e'er! Adjacent time nosotros might add together some extra crushed crimson peppers because nosotros like things spicy but, overall, it was astonishing!!
07/31/2011
I fabricated this and i added a tbsp of onion powder and ane/2 cup of tequila to give it a footling more kick
12/28/2010
I don't typically write reviews but thought this deserves mention. This marinade was a hitting and very quick and easy to make. We all very much enjoyed it and I will definitely get in again. Thanks!
06/24/2014
Meliorate than steaks nosotros have had in New York, Chicago, or even Las Vegas's all-time. We did modify lime juice for lemon and apply real minced garlic rather than powder. Too added fresh ground black pepper. Have tried both blended and not blended, blending does seem to mix everything together better just is not required. Everyone we have made this for goes crazy well-nigh how skillful the steaks are with this. You really just can't go wrong with this marinade. It lives upward to its proper noun and and then some!
07/09/2012
We use this marinate on Flank Steak and put information technology on our woods smoker and it turn out marvelous!
01/04/2010
This marinade smelled and then yummy I couldn't wait to try it! I was sooo disappointed. None of me kids liked information technology either. Nosotros had to deluge the meat in bbq sauce to drown out the flavour of this marinade. Will NOT make once again! Definatly not kid friendly recipe!
07/15/2012
Made our steaks manner too salty even with low sodium soy sauce.
04/12/2010
Really, really good! The Best Steak Marinade in Existence? Probably not, but information technology was very good and well work making once again.
12/24/2009
This was non adept. There was something off about the flavour. I did marinade 4 T bone steaks for about 6 hours. The meat tasted BLAH!
07/01/2009
It was Bang-up!! I left out the lemon juice and used fresh garlic. Instead of the of using pure olive oil i used garlic and basil infused. Also i used crushed red pepper. The steak was great! Using a blender really makes a divergence.
08/06/2011
Fabricated as written, except didn't blend everything together and only marinated for 30 mins. Would be even ameliorate overnight. Definitely a keeper!
07/23/2011
This marinade makes the $20 cutting of meat to taste similar pizza. Likewise much basil
02/26/2009
This was only okay for the states. Besides strong, besides salty, and bland. Perhaps I bought the worst kind of Soy Sauce on the market - I followed the recipe exactly. I'one thousand sorry! I WILL effort again with a different soy sauce.
09/23/2013
I have made this 2 times already. The first was on steak, then the second was on pork chops. For a 3rd time this month, I am using it once over again on chicken. My family loves this recipe and is a keeper. Small-scale changes : (1)I don't alloy it, I but use a whisk and whisk information technology really good before I put information technology in a ziplock bag. (2)I exercise utilise the mince garlic, just it is fresh. We honey garlic, then the more the merrier and (3) instead of 1 one/2 tablespoons of parsley, I just utilize ane tablespoons since parsley can exist potent. This recipe is a hit. Fifty-fifty with folks that don't care too much for the ingredients, simply together and later on grilled, they are astonishing. I recommend everyone trying this.
07/19/2009
Now this is some fantastic stuff! The flavor of my offset bite of my (grilled) New York strip reminded me of something yous'd get at an upscale steak restaurant. I'll definitely make this steak marinade once again.
12/xviii/2010
This recipe more than than lives up to its name. I used bottled lemon juice instead of the fresh squeezed and omitted the hot pepper...it was still outstanding. All of our dinner guests were truly blown away past the season!
07/28/2011
I'm going through and reviewing all the recipes I take tried and I can say I like this one. I use far less olive oil because I really don't see the need. I also use less lemon juice because it will "melt" the meat. Non necessary to use only white pepper so I just used skilful onetime fashion fresh cracked black pepper (yumm). Marinate with soy sauce, olive oil (2 tbsp), splash of lemon juice, Worcestershire, minced garlic, parsley and tsp cracked pepper. NO Demand to alloy in blender. Just throw in a non-reactive basin or baggie (my choice) Marinate for at least 2 hours. Take the out of baggie toss on grill as yous normally would and they come out quite nice.
06/23/2011
This marinade is delicious!! Instead of only marinating for an hour or then it turned into more like 24 hours due to a change in our plans. I was delighted that the marinade was and then delicious. It literally turned our steaks into gourmet thing. I also sauteed some mushrooms and onions with the remaining marinade to go with the steaks. YUM!!!!
12/31/2010
looks horrible, just it tastes awesome.
05/02/2011
I think maybe the basil should take been 3 teaspoons instead of table spoons. It really overpowered everything else, but I think this would be and excellent marinade with that correction, so four stars.
06/fourteen/2010
Doubled the recipe, just just used plenty lemon juice for a unmarried batch (Only had 2 lemons, and it wasn't plenty, apparently). Overall, information technology was very proficient! UPDATE: I made it exactly every bit written, using a large pack of stewing beefiness that I softened with my meat tenderizer. I poured the marinade over it & let it sit for near 30 min. And so I fabricated Shish-Kebabs with it. I ised i big pack of stewing beef, ane red pepper, i green pepper, and 1 red onion. It fabricated 22 delicious shish-kebabs!!
09/25/2007
I was skeptical, but I must admit--information technology really IS the best marinade in existence!
05/07/2010
AWESOME! That's all. :)
08/01/2011
This marinade was pretty proficient but I thought it was a little overpowering for a steak. You couldn't fifty-fifty taste the natural flavour of the steak. I recall information technology has too much Worcestershire sauce in it. I marinaded mine for about four-five hours.
07/thirteen/2011
Too salty - use less soy sauce & make sure it's depression sodium
01/25/2010
certainly tenderized the steak but did not intendance for the taste
05/05/2010
I marinaded 2 pocket-sized frying steaks for 2 days and pan fryed until meat was cooked. I never had a more saltier steak.....Likewise much soya sauce mayybe....wont waste ingredients on this ane over again.
12/16/2010
Well, the title is no lie. This IS the all-time marinade in beingness. Information technology's delicious - perfect for steak, pork or chicken. I treasure this recipe!
02/20/2011
I used this marinade for a whole craven. I put a double batch of the marinade forth with the lemon rinds in a ziploc bag with the chicken for 48 hours. I removed the chicken and rinsed it off well, added the lemon rinds within the cavity, seasoned with rotisserie chicken seasoning and baked. Then delicious!! The white meat was extremely juicy and tender. The flavor was bang-up!
08/01/2011
Very good. I'm a huge fan of using fresh ingredients and so I used fresh garlic, parsley & basil as opposed to dried. Marinated our Filet'south in this for about iii hours and they were tender and juicy. Will definitely brand again.
08/03/2009
All I can say is "Yum"! Our steak was delicious, tender, and then skilful! I inverse only i thing, and that was calculation some onion powder besides every bit the garlic. I highly reccommend this marinade!
01/08/2012
Nosotros used this recipe earlier this week on inexpensive steaks for the kids'south birthday party.. Even with cheap steaks this marinade was AMAZING!
12/09/2011
Ruined a good steak. Bummer.
02/eleven/2011
Nosotros've been using this marinade for YEARS! We don't add the hot pepper sauce. We use it on chicken! We marinade boneless, skinless chicken breasts and grill them on the bbq pit. Nosotros also take what's left of the marinade and eddy it down on the stove, skimming off whatever fat off the top, and serve it equally an au jus on the side. It's tangy and salty. Nosotros love it!
02/ten/2011
Bully recipe and I only added one thing and that was because I didn't have enough Worcestershire sauce so I added some Teriyaki sauce instead. I left the craven in the marinade for 5 hours and the season was out of this world. I might add that this was the virtually moist chicken that I accept ever eaten!

I made some changes. I used 4 cloves of fresh Garlic, didn't have any Basil, but added 1Tblsp of dried Rosemary and a heaping Tsp of dried Sage.Very tasty, and I grilled fat Sizzle Steaks over Charcoal. Was delicious!

This is a wonderful steak marinade. It works wonders on the inexpensive tough cuts of supermarket steaks. They always plough out moist, tender and delicious.

I marinaded a top circular flank for about x hours and it was wonderful. The only alter I made was to use but 1 tbsp of the dried basil as I was afraid hubby would gustatory modality too much of information technology. Wonderful marinade, next time I'll opt for overnight or longer. Cheers for a great one Kookie!

I didn't even measure out I only put in all the ingredients except parsley and white pepper(I didn't have). I added red pepper flakes, black pepper and meat tenderizer and wet minced garlic and didn't blend. I just put it and the meat in a plastic bag in the refrigerator for a few hours. It turned out and then good!!! Best steak marinade I take always made!

This is good! I woke upwardly a lilliputian late, so I only had an hour to marinate the meat, only this marinade still lent astonishing flavor to our steaks. I didn't bother with the blending (dirty as few things as possible is always my rule in the kitchen), cut the oil to 2 T., and added a generous spoonful of minced fresh garlic instead of dry.

This is skillful if y'all like a stiff, teriyaki flavor. I would say information technology's more suitable for chicken, rather than steak.

I made the marinade exactly as instructed with the optional ingredients added and yes I used a blender (is it really that big a bargain to blend it). I marinated ane 1.25 inch t-bone I bought from Publix (which are pretty good quality as far equally grocery shop steaks go) in a sealed container for well-nigh two hours. And so I rinsed off (yes rinsed off) the marinade from the meat and patted the steak dry out with newspaper towels. Then I put approximately one/4 teaspoon of kosher common salt on each side and nigh a 1/ii teaspoon of black pepper on both sides and finally, liberal amounts of garlic pulverization infused with parsley on both sides. And then I let the steak sit at room temp for a little over one-half an hour and broiled for 7 minutes a side for medium rare and it was outstanding! The marinade adds just a subtle hint of season that brings out the beef season nicely. No steak sauce needed at all. This was SLIGHTLY better than my normal routine which is just using Moore's marinade for a half hour meat-bath prior to seasoning and cooking. All in all this recipe is a winner! I wouldn't marinate it for a long time similar many posters have done, unless information technology was a sorry slice of meat.

This marinade recipe truly lives upwards to it'due south name, it is the best steak marinade I have made! I used it marinate kabob's that I grilled, they were out of this earth! My only exchange was fresh garlic instead of powder.

This marinade was too herby and over the top for my sense of taste.

Really great and the kickoff time I only marinated for 4 hours. I take 2 that take been marinating since Sat. Can't wait to see how they are doing with even more "soaking" time!

I'thousand generally a "allow the steak speak for itself" guy, and usually only use salt and pepper or peradventure a little rub, but i'm glad i gave this a run a risk.
